Last weekend 'Women of the Sacred Circle' (c) held their annual retreat. What a privilege it was to be a part of it. A group of like minded women joined together to share time and energy, stories and healing.
They sang, they danced, they talked and they laughed a lot. The energy within their circle was wonderful. Together they built up to a wonderful Sacred Circle Dance as part of their ceremony, having spent time working on their ceremonial outfits, their gifts for the altars and working on themselves (before they even got there) in preparation.
When Women gather together in a sacred manner, a great forcefield of power and light is created. Less loving forces may try to sabotage this and life certainly presented many challenges for the Women as their event approached. But these are Women, and they will not be daunted by anyone or anything. They all got there in the end.
And as I stood there witnessing their Sacred Circle Dance, I was swept with emotion as the beauty of each Woman revealed itself. I have never seen more beautiful Women, or such a beautiful dance. The wind danced in the trees with us, the Nature Spirits peeked out from all the bushes and shrubs and Bats swooped overhead as the dance went on.
Much was achieved by all of them and we all received many blessings.
Now as we pack everything away for another year, we reflect on what has just been and give thanks for each other and the opportunity. Soon we will meet again, with another mission to accomplish together.
